Dragonfly - Print
Dragonfly - Print
In ancient times, Japan was called “Akitsushima”, a name that was given to it by the 5th century emperor, Yuryaku. "Akitsu" is an old Japanese word for dragonfly and "shima" means island so it translates as “Isle of the Dragonfly”. The story goes that the Emperor was bitten by a horsefly which was promptly eaten by a dragonfly. The Emperor honoured the dragonfly by naming Japan after it.

A beautiful picture on high quality paper. So pleased with it have ordered others.
The dragon fly print is beautifully done, as soon as I saw it I had to buy it. Fast delivery and well packaged. I'll get it framed and it will look great in the lounge. I highly recommend DM prints. I'd love to see some different colours.
In the first instance I saw the dragonfly as a card - luckily website details were on the back. My beautiful print was delivered the very next day and will be my wedding gift to my new husband. Great easy to navigate website and very swift efficient service - and great value. Not sure that I can resist the bee 🐝!
